Many patients develop multiple unsightly, fine, red blood vessels on the nose and cheeks, giving a premature aged look to the face. These vessels, also known as telangiectasia, appear as a result of aging, sun exposure, rosacea, radiation or surgery. Most blood vessels can be removed with a laser in one to two treatments.
Certain blood vessels on the legs can also be removed with the laser. The laser delivers a highly concentrated beam of light that targets the vessels and seals them shut. The body then reabsorbs the blood vessels, making them disappear.
